Last Updated: January 03, 2026

Transparency, Data Sovereignty, and Secure Verification.

1. Introduction & Scope

Algeria Certification & Verification Portal (AlgeriaCertify), operated by TKAWEN, is committed to protecting the privacy and integrity of personal and academic data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect information within our digital ecosystem.

2. Information We Collect

To provide secure verification services, we process specific categories of data provided by Issuing Institutions (Universities, Training Centers):

  • Identity Data: Full name, date of birth, and student matriculation number.
  • Academic Data: Degree title, graduation year, specialization, and grades/honors.
  • Digital Metadata: Unique Certificate ID (UID), QR Code hash, and issuance timestamp.
  • Usage Data: IP addresses and browser types of users performing verification scans (for security logging).
3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell, trade, or monetize personal data. Our processing is strictly limited to:

  • Verification: Enabling third parties (Employers/Universities) to confirm the authenticity of a certificate via QR scan.
  • Security: Preventing fraud, forgery, and unauthorized modification of academic records.
  • Operational Integrity: Maintaining the platform's availability and performance.
4. Security & Data Sovereignty

Data Sovereignty: All sensitive academic data is hosted on secure, sovereign servers located within the national territory or compliant secure cloud environments, ensuring full control under Algerian jurisdiction.

Encryption: We employ end-to-end encryption (TLS 1.3) for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Access to the central registry is strictly restricted to authorized personnel.

5. Verification Visibility

Public Access Limitation: Academic data is NOT publicly searchable by name.

Data is only disclosed when a Verifier possesses the specific Reference ID or QR Code physically provided by the certificate holder. This ensures that only authorized entities (to whom you gave your certificate) can access your validation details.

6. Your Rights

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of errors via the Issuing Institution.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"), subject to legal archiving obligations of the University.
